Abstract:-
The global emergence of multiple drug resistant strains of bacteria and rapidly developing resistance to antibiotics in both animals and humans has generated urgent requirement for alternatives. There has been a long term history of Bacteriophages being used in bacterial infection treatment, their successful and somehow clearly reported trials throughout the world (especially Georgia, Poland and to a lesser extent India), make them promising tool to combat serious Multi-Drug Resistant bacterial infections caused due to many bacterias such as Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA), Vancomycin resistant Enterococci (VRE), respiratory pathogens including Streptococcus pneumonia and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Phages are valuable in therapeutic medicines, aquaculture, agrophages and as food additives approved by FDA. Specificity, self replication, auto dosing and other properties of phages have been exploited by researchers and scientists to replace antibiotics in use. However true efficacy of phage therapy and stable eradication of infection still requires novel developments, approaches and formal confirmation in clinical trials along with adequate regulatory framework, implementation of safety protocol and general public acceptance
Abstract:-
In the present paper, the researchers have attempted to study the effect of three different interventions selected to be role-play, psycho education and biofeedback on the Quality of Care delivered by 30 Female Primary Caregivers for their Alzheimer’s patients. The results show that all the three selected interventions are equally effective in increasing the Quality of Care. Furthermore, an improvement in the Levels of Quality of Care was observed among all the 30 caregivers; it was found that there was an increase in the overall Quality of Care from average to good, after the intervention.

Low Birth Weight is a major problem worldwide with average incidence of 18 per cent globally and 33 per cent in developing countries, thus, the care of such infants becomes a burden for health and the social system. KMC was established to help curb this problem. It provides an appropriate, affordable yet high quality care and can be implemented almost anywhere This study reports a survey aimed at determining awareness of KMC by mothers attending public health facilities in Enugu South Local Government Area Enugu State.. One research question and two null hypotheses were raised to guide the study that involved a sample of 134 drawn from a population of 1339 mothers using proportionate random sampling technique. Instrument for data collection was a 10-item questionnaire known as Awareness of Kangaroo Mother Care Questionnaire (AKMCQ) which was developed by the researcher and validated by three experts in Health Education. Split-half and Pearson’s correlation statistics were used to establish the reliability which yielded a correlation coefficient index value of 0.87. Data were collected through the help of 3 research assistants. Data were analysed using frequency and percentage and χ2 statistic. Findings revealed a grand total average of 27 (20%) for aware and 107 (80%) for unaware of KMC. The implication of this finding is that that the mothers are not aware of all the indices of KMC. Also parity (Cal χ2= 2.77, Critical χ2=.096 df 1p< 0.05) and educational qualification (Cal χ2=7.58, Critical χ2= 5.99 df 1p< 0.05) does not significantly influence awareness of KMC by mothers. Implications of the finding for child health were articulated before recommending that serious education on the benefits of KMC to the child and the mother should be taught to mothers during their clinic visits, also there should be increased enlightenment on KMC practices.

It was decided to undertake a greenhouse experiment on dry direct-seeded rice (DSR) to investigate the influence of three different amounts of fertilizer P (0, 6.5, and 13 mg kg-1 soil) administration on the changes in P fractions in soils with varied Olsen-P and texture in ten distinct soils. When comparing the administration of P fertilizer to the no-P treatment at the maximum tillering stage, the concentration of Ca-P fraction rose by a substantial amount. The increase in Ca-P fraction at flowering was statistically significant only when 13 mg P kg-1 was applied in comparison to no P administration. The values of the Fe-P and Al-P fractions were not substantially different regardless of the initial Olsen-P concentration or the amount of P applied to the sample
