ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITIES OF VERNONIA AMYGDALINA, OCIMUM GRATISSIMUM AND GARCINIA KOLA

Abstract:-

This work was undertaken to investigate the antimicrobial activities of Ocimum gratissimum(Scent leaf), Vernonia amygdalina(Bitter leaf) and Garcinia kola(kola Bitter) leaves and seeds extracts against pathogenic Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans. The phytochemical analysis of the leaves and seeds extracts of the plants were determined qualitatively and quantitatively using chemical and spectrophotometric methods
